Mr. J W Myerholtz, 84, of Carlton Drive, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his home.

Born on August 16, 1931 in Elberton, GA, he was the son of the late Will Myerholtz and Willie Alewine Myerholtz.Mr. Myerholtz was retired from Bellcraft Mfg. Co and was of the Holiness faith.He also was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War and a member of the VFW.

Survivors include two daughters: Mary Ann Dutton and Mary Ellen Segars both of Hartwell; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive. Mr. Myerholtz was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Katie Mae Thrasher Myerholtz; three brothers, two sisters and one great granddaughter.

Memorial services will be Saturday, August 22, 2015, 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Buffington officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at the home.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
