Mrs. Karen Denney Brown, 78, of Nickville Road, Dewy Rose, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at Comer Health & Rehab.

Born on March 7, 1944 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Denney and Mary Cordell Denney. Before Mrs. Brown worked as part of the office staff at Elbert Memorial Hospital and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her grandson: Rhett A. Brown & Kayla of Hartwell; two great grandchildren: Ellie and Jolie Brown; and her sister: Lynda Phillips of Dewy Rose. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Raymond Stewart Brown; son: Richard A. Brown; and two grandchildren: Cynthia and Misty Brown.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 12, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
