Ms. Karrol June Bowers Maughmer, age 76 of 96 Highland Ave., Hartwell GA, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Santa Maria CA

Born on April 7, 1932 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Oren Bowers and Clara Cleveland Bowers.She was a retired real estate agent, member of the Hart Co. Master Gardeners and a lifelong member of the Canon Universalist Unitarian Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Patricia Maughmer of Oxnard CA and Susan Maughmer-Tuttle of Santa Maria CA; a son: Phillip Maughmer of Santa Maria CA; three brothers: Max Bowers and Harry Bowers both of Fayetteville and Phillip Bowers of Jonesboro; two sisters: Clara Bowers Bostic and Sandra Bowers Adams both of Hartwell; six grandchildren: Noel Tuttle, Clayton Tuttle, Patricia Tuttle, Justin Maughmer, Bryn Maughmer and Shannon Maughmer also survive.She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: William F. Bowers.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Canon Universalist Unitarian Church with Mr. Max Bowers officiating.Burial will be in the Oak View Cemetery, Canon.The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
