Katherine Walters

Mrs. Katherine Jeanette Lawrence Walters, 77, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Callie & John Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born on August 25, 1948 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late William “Bud” Lawrence and Louise Hendrix Lawrence. Mrs. Walters was a former CNA at Hart Care Center and of the Church of God faith.

Survivors include a daughter: Sandra Brown (Greg) of Royston; two sons: Donnie Hill of Bowman and Jeremy Hill (Anna) of Hartwell; two sisters: Darlene Leverette and Charlotte Bartlett both of Lexington; two brothers: Roger Lawrence of Toccoa and Ricky Lawrence of Hartwell; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Doug Walters; a son: Tony Dale Hill and a brother: Larry Lawrence.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Walters will be Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Bruce Freeland and Rev. Clay Huff officiating. Burial will be in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
