Mrs. Kathryn Sanders Thomason, 83, 354 Highland Ridge Dr., Hartwell GA, died Monday, July 13 at Hart Care Center.

Born on December 17, 1925 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Emory Sanders and Texie Partain Sanders.Mrs. Thomason was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Thomason and his wife Carol of Cloudland GA and Rocky Thomason and his wife Debbie of Lavonia; three daughters, Faire Teasley and her husband Dean and Winfreda Smith and her husband David both of Hartwell and Lessie Paul and her husband James of Crawford; a sister, Faye Ziegler of California; a brother, Alton Sanders of Hartwell; twelve grandchildren, Deana Roach, Ginger Bauknight, Kim Teasley, Travis Teasley, Teresa Paul, Jamie Paul, Bridget Paul Burroughs, Katie Smith, Russell & Ryan Thomason, Tannis & Zachary Smith; six great-grandchildren, Austin & Katie Freeman, Jessie Roach, Clay, Luke & Rebekah Bauknight also survive.Mrs. Thomason was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Winfred W. Thomason; two brothers, Emmett Sanders and Everett Sanders and a sister, Annis Conway.

Funeral services will Thursday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Bill Davidson officiating.Entombment will be at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.
