Mrs. Kathy Elaine Moore Harper, 70, of Bowman, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 peacefully at her home.

Born on April 27, 1955 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Moore and Kathleen House Moore.  Mrs. Harper was a retired bus driver for the Elbert County Charter School System and a member of the Bowman Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: John Haynie Harper III; a son: Erik Harper (Jodie) of Decatur GA; a daughter: Erin H. Green (Billy) of Lavonia GA; three grandchildren: Cooper Green, Allie Mae Green and Evelyn Harper; a sister-in-law: Karen Leigh Harper Davis of Douglasville GA and a brother-in-law: Keith Harper of Elberton GA.

Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Gary Moore and Kevin Moore.

Mrs. Harper wished to be cremated and the family will have a memorial service privately at a later date.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
