Miss Katherine Jane Williford, 12, of 34 J and J Drive, Lavonia, died peacefully Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 26, 2001 in Anderson, SC, she is the daughter of Robin Hamby Williford and Tim Akin of Lavonia and Eric Williford and his wife Tamara of Hartwell.Kati was a 7th grader at Franklin County Middle School and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents; three sisters: Erica Rowland and her husband Jonathan of Little Rock, AR, Addison Williford of Lavonia, Kristin Bradley of Hartwell; one brother, Ryan Bradley of Hartwell; Paternal grandparents, Jack and Annette Williford of Hartwell; and other grandparents: Doug and Ruth Harvey of Canon, and Tommy Brown of Hartwell.Kati is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tommy and Jane Hamby.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks, Rev. Chris Pritchett, Dr. Keith Hart and Dr. Augusto Morales officiating.Burial will be in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.Flowers are optional, or the family requests donations to defray medical and funeral expenses.The family is at their respective homes.
