Obituary
Mrs. Katie Mae Thrasher Myerholtz, 82, of 175 Carlton Drive, Hartwell, died Wednesday, February 6 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on April 7, 1930 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late B.A. Thrasher and Daisy Wood Peeples.She was retired from Bellcraft Mfg. and was also a retired sales associate for Wal-Mart of Hartwell.She was of the Holiness faith.
Survivors include her husband: J.W. Myerholtz of the home; two daughters: Mary Ann Dutton and Mary Ellen Segars both of Hartwell; four sisters: Darlene Stoyle of Bowersville, Mary Sue Strickland of Canon, Emma Dowell and Betty Jean Crocker both of Royston; two brothers: R.C. Brake of Hartwell and Harvey Peeples of Royston; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild also survives.Mrs. Myerholtz was preceded in death by a sister: Peggy Lawrence and two brothers: Otis Peeples and Jack Donald Peeples.
Memorial services will be Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Buffington officiating.Interment of her ashes will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at the home.
