Mrs. Kay Allen Adams, 78, of Bowersville, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at her home.

Born on June 7, 1943 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Allen and Mary Ruth Roper Vickery. Mrs. Adams was a seamstress for Gips Manufacturing, and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She also enjoyed shopping, and was a collector of dolls and antique glass. She also enjoyed the mountains and the beach.

Survivors include the love of her life for 62 years and husband: George A. Adams; her daughter and best friend: Tina Bartlett (Jimmy) of Bowersville; brother: Dusty Vickery of Hartwell; four sisters: Vicki Floyd (Ricky) of Harwell, Joan Richey of Anderson; Anne Adams (Brannie) of Elberton, and Lane Morrison of Anderson; best friend for many years: Peggy Price of Hartwell; her three caregivers: Faye Jones, Kim Nolan, Peggy Thomason; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Terri Ethridge.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kay Adams will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Revs. John Forbes and Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
