Miss Kayla Jean Seymour, age 21, of Carnesville died Thursday, April 29, 2010.
Born March 28, 1989, in Hart County, she was the daughter of Keith Seymour and Sheila (Hill) Finney. She attended Franklin County High School and graduated from Penn Foster. She was a softball player, having been a member of Lady Lions Softball and Southern Threat. She was employed with Best Western. Kayla attended Compassion Baptist Church and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
She was preceded in death by two grandfathers: Robert Hill and Larry Seymour.
Survivors include her parents: Keith Seymour of Commerce and Sheila & Cliff Finney of Carnesville; sister: Kimberly Seymour of Carnesville; grandparents: Nell Hill of Carnesville, Louise Dierolf of Lavonia, and Scott & Debbie Finney of Atlanta; aunts and uncles: Robby & Pam Hill (and Coleman & Rob), Bobby & Denise McGill, and Rhonda Fortson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Compassion Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Carson and Rev. Robby Hill officiating. The body will lie in state beginning at 1:30PM. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The family requests that contributions be made to defray funeral expenses.
