Mr. Keith Douglas Mitchell, age 60, of Lavonia, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born April 10, 1954, in Seneca, SC, he was the son of Agnes Lucille (Cawthon) Richardson and the late L. T. Mitchell. He was employed with Whiten Livestock as a truck driver. Mr. Mitchell attended Bowersville Church of God.
He is survived by his mother; wife: Julianne (Meeks) Mitchell; daughter: Ashley Dawn Mitchell; son and daughter-in-law: Taylor and Megan Mitchell; grandchildren: Olivia Kesler, Tiara Tate, Tarryn Tate, Lily Mitchell, Zoey Anne Mitchell & John Wayne Mitchell; brother and sister-in-law: Vance and Sheryl Mitchell; and mother-in-law: Ruth Meeks.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Gettis Allen officiating. A private burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home. Flowers are optional or donations can be made at Northeast Georgia Bank to the Keith Mitchell family.
