Kelly Lane McGee, age 45, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at his home.

Born June 21, 1977, in Hartwell, he was the son of Linda Lane Bellamy McGee and the late William Howard "Shade" McGee, Jr.  He was Facility Manager for Ross Controls.

He is survived by his mother; children: Laney Victoria McGee, Maddison Brooke McGee, Grant Preston McGee; companion: Alexa Cherie Earls; siblings: James & Jane McGee, Janet & Joe Capri, Carey & Cathy Craft, Kim Gerding and Chrystal & Heath Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents: William & Mildred McGee and Carey & Grace Bellamy.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday July 22, 2022 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. David Sosebee officiating. Burial will follow in New Franklin Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Benji Cole, Blake Craft, Brandon Haley, Michael Haley, Andrew Holcomb, Rhett Langston, Earnest Robinson and Darby Watson.
