Obituary

Kenneth Wayne "Pops" Blair, age 77, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by his family, March 5, 2019.
He was born in Roswell, NM on June 10, 1941 to Travis and Madelle (Nelson) Blair. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.S in Physical Education. He was a tight end and linebacker for the University of Colorado, having played in the Orange Bowl in 1962. He would go on to play briefly for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League before embarking on an accomplished fifty-five year coaching career. He was a part of four NFL Championship teams.
Although football was his passion, his family brought him the greatest joy. He was proud to be the husband of the love of his life, be a dad to his two boys, and especially be "Pops" to his three grandchildren. His philosophy in life could be summed up as "God, Family, & Football."
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Mary Sue (Cisco) Blair; sons & daughters-in-law: Michael & Michelle Blair and Mitchell & Jill Blair; and grandchildren: Beau Blair, Aly Blair, and Jake Blair.
He was cremated in accordance with his request. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to:
