Mr. Kenneth Wayne "Ken" Brown, 90 of Rock Springs Community, Lavonia, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at his home.

Born on June 30, 1934 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Joe M. Brown and Lorene Herring Brown.  Ken retired from the Hart County School System, working in the maintenance department. He was a former bus driver, employed at Monroe Auto Equipment Company and a Hart County Board of Commissioner serving for fourteen years. He loved his family, church, cars and tractors. He was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church and a US Army Korean War Veteran.

Survivors include his wife: Betty Bailey Brown; two sons: Mike Brown (Vickie), Tim Brown (Angie) all of Hartwell; one sister: Cathryn Griffin of Hartwell; two granddaughters: Jennifer Berrong (Scott), Betsy Brown,; and two great grandchildren: Cane Berrong and Chase Berrong. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents: five brothers: Owen Brown, Julius Brown, Winston Brown, Tommy Brown, Eddie Brown and one sister: Jeanette Kay.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Ken Brown will be Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Terry James and Rev. Perry Brown officiating.  Burial will be in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
