Mr. William Kendall "Ken" Evans, 70, of Clay Street, Hartwell, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at Hart Care Center.

Born on May 17, 1949 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Joe Evans and Elizabeth Vickery Stovall.Mr. Evans was formerly employed with Royston Mfg. and Beaulieu Corp.He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife: Brenda Gorman Evans; three daughters: Lori Lacount (Charles) of Anderson, Stacie Jewell (Derrick) of Toccoa, Jill Robinson (Charlie) of Hartwell; one brother: Bobby Evans (Betty) of Hartwell; six grandchildren: Tara Bowers, Layla Stone, Paisley Robinson, Gracie Adams, Avery Robinson and Ella Adams.Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents and step-father: Arthur Stovall.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Ken Evans will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.
