Mr. George Kenneth Cleveland, 83, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at his home.

Born on March 21, 1939 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Denver W. Cleveland and Drucilla Vickery Cleveland. Mr. Cleveland was a graduate of Hart County High School. He was a lifelong grocery worker, beginning after graduation with Hartwell's Milford Grocery and retiring as grocery manager from Winn Dixie with 43 years of service. He was a faithful member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church, where he served on the money counting committee and usher. Kenneth was a US Army Veteran, serving 6 months active duty and 12 years in the Army Reserve.

Devoted husband to Barbara Cleveland and loving father to daughter Robin Cleveland all of Hartwell. He is also survived by one brother: Roy Cleveland of Gainesville and one sister: Shelby Brown of Hartwell.  Mr. Cleveland was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Gene Cleveland.

Graveside services for Mr. Kenneth Cleveland will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Flat Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Cory Pulliam officiating.  The family is at the home.
