Mr. Kerry J. Moore, age 62, of Lavonia, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born June 20, 1954, in Oxford, England, he was the son of the late James Albert Moore and Mozelle (Willis) Gayheart. He was a veteran of the US Army and the US Navy. He was a master mold maker with TE Connectivity in Greensboro, NC. Mr. Moore was a member of the American Legion and was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by his wife: Sheila Moore; daughter and son-in-law: Geanine and Clint Geoghan; grandsons: Seth Masten and Elijah Geoghan; sister and brother-in-law: Vivien and David Howard; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Wayne and Yvonne (Satterwhite) Carey; sister-in-law: Jimmie Carey; nieces: Tabatha Adams and Michelle Smith; nephews: Joshua Payne, Steve Carey, and Scott Carey; twelve great nieces and nephews; and four great-great nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org) or the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
