Mr. Kevin Drake Wright, Sr., age 50, of Martin, passed away Wednesday evening, April 18th, 2018at his home.
Born October 20, 1967, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Gertrude (Wright) Cotton and the late Jerry Lamar Cotton. Prior to disability, he was a commercial tire man and mechanic. Mr. Wright was a member of the National Rifle Association, a proud patriot and a proud supporter of military veteran and law enforcement causes. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother: Kerry Ramey.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children: Ashley Wright, Kevin Wright, Jr., Christopher Wright, Jacob Wright, MaKayla Wright, and Ryley Wright; and siblings: Chuck Wright, Theresa Rios, Sandra "Sandy" Wright, and Sherry Blackmon.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. Cremation will follow the service. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
