Andrea Kim Ford, age 64, of Lavonia, departed this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at her home. Born on March 19, 1960, in South Carolina, she was the daughter of Bill and Argie Sybil Partain Duckett.
A dedicated first responder, Kim devoted her life to serving others, having previously worked as a dispatcher for Franklin County 911 and the Georgia State Patrol. Her unwavering commitment to her work was only matched by her deep love for her family. As a proud wife, mother, and grandmother, Kim found immense joy, leaving her career behind to create a warm and loving home for her children and grandchildren.
In her passing, Kim was preceded by several cherished family members, including her father-in-law, whom she considered a father, Kenneth Ford, Sr.; brother David Duckett, and grandson Maverick Vanesse. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Ford; children, Nikki (Benjamin) Combs, Mandi (Joseph) Freeman, Cameron Ford, and Kenneth (Amber) Ford; brother, Monty (Karen) Duckett; grandchildren, Ethan (Chelsea) Brooks, Destiny (Shane) Carter, Bailey (Ty) Scarboro, Keegan Moore, Andrew Timms, Jacob Timms, Raven Duckett, Cheyenne Spearman, Zachary Spearman, Kenny Ford, Paislee Ford, and Ryan Ford; great grandchildren, Rosalyn Vanesse and Asher Scarboro.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Carnesville. Rev. Tommy Cleveland will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. At other hours the family will be at the home. In accordance with her request, Kim was cremated.
