Kristy Alesia Brown Rice, age 42, of Martin, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born March 20, 1979, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of Carl Brown and Beverly Pierce. Kristy was a collector of butterflies, peace signs, and crosses and she loved Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. She was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Lavonia.

She is survived by her parents: Carl & Beverly Brown; children: Autumn Hudgins (Tyler) and Elijah Brown; sister: Debbie Thomason (Anthony); and uncles: Kenneth Pierce (Mary) and Leonard "Roni" Pierce. She was preceded in death by an infant brother: Jimmy Brown.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Church of God of the Union Assembly, 128 Peachtree Street, Lavonia, GA 30553. Burial will follow in Trinity Church Cemetery, 2480 Athens Road, Royston, GA30662. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
