Mr. Lamar "Buddy" Crocker, 89 of Beacon Light Road, Hartwell, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 at Hart Care Center.
Born on December 18, 1935 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Archie A. Crocker and Effie Standridge Crocker. Mr. Crocker retired from Monroe Auto Equipment Company as a machine operator. He loved hunting, growing vegetables, raising cows and going to Primitive Quartet concerts. He was also a member of the Mt. Oliver Baptist Church and a former deacon.
Survivors include his two daughters: Jane Crocker and Sharon Morris (Bobby) all of Hartwell; seven grandchildren: Buddy Bradford (Tori Sanders), Lori McCullough (Kevin), Elizabeth Bradford, Joseph Morris (Leanne), Deanna Daniel (Chip), D.J. Vassar, and Christie Crocker and eleven great grandchildren. Mr. Crocker was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Eva Dickerson Crocker; a son: Tommy Crocker; six brothers: J.C. Crocker, Harvey Crocker, Bennie Crocker, Harold Crocker, Ralph Crocker, Marvin Crocker; four sisters: Ruby Thompson, Polly Minish, Jenelle Fleming, and Eva Crocker.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. The family will be at the home.
Funeral services for Mr. Buddy Crocker will be Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Meeks and Mr. Frankie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
