Larry Dean Creel, age 47, of Martin, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at his home.

Born August 1, 1977, in Charleston, SC, he was the son of Larry Lee Creel and the late Nellie Ladd Brock Creel. He was a forklift driver for Kautex. Dean enjoyed fishing, camping, joking around with his family, He was a very talented artist. He especially enjoyed going to auctions and having cookouts with family.

He is survived by his wife: Jeannie W. Daniel Creel of the home; children: Sabrina Linkous (Brad) of Toccoa, Beth Westbrook (Dustin Vinson) of Martin, Bradley Creel, Nevaeh Creel, and Emily Creel; grandchildren: Lisa Pitts, Cole Linkous, Gunner Linkous, Beau Linkous, Haelyn Vinson, and Rylan Vinson; father: Larry L. Creel (Malovene) of Ruffin, SC; siblings: Penny Hernandez (Augusto) of Cottageville, SC, Marie Martin (James) of Walterboro, SC, Devon Creel of North Charleston; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his mother: Nellie Ladd Brock Creel he was preceded in death by a sister: Vivian Creel Redondo.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Tripp officiating. Burial will follow in Lavonia City-Burgess Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Flowers are optional however the family request donations be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral cost.
