Mr. Larry N. Dunham, 62, of 1381 Yacht Club Rd, Hartwell, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Larry was born on September 18, 1950 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to the late Mead Dunham and Pearl Dement Dunham. He grew up south of Jonesboro, Arkansas attending Arkansas State University before moving to the Atlanta Area in 1981.There he worked for Citigroup's Primerica division in Duluth, GA before retiring to Hartwell in 2003.He dedicated his remaining years to serving Jesus Christ through his membership in Reed Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, church treasurer and on various other ministry teams.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Murphy Dunham of the home; one daughter, Rebecca How of Lilburn, GA; one sister, Linda Layne of Jonesboro, AR; two grandchildren: Mia Piper How and Isabella "Izzy" How.Mr. Dunham was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Michelle Van Heel.
A Going Home Celebration will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Reed Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Delaney and Mr. Mitch Slaton officiating.A reception will follow in the Family Life Center.
