Mr. Larry Dean Massey, 78, of Anderson, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his home.

Born on March 6, 1942 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Joel Preston "J.P." Massey and Ruby Stovall Massey.Mr. Massey was retired from Champion Tooling and was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church, Hartwell.

Survivors include his daughter: Lori Gladney (Eric) of Starr SC; a son: Michael Massey of Anderson SC; two brothers: Herb Massey and Preston Massey, both of Hartwell; two sisters: Jo Ann Brown (Milton) of Bowersville GA, and Gloria Norris of Hartwell; two grandchildren: Neariah Gladney and Gabriele Gladney; and two step-grandchildren: Dylan Massey and Isabell Massey.Mr. Massey was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Bill Massey.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at the home of Gloria Norris, 167 Shallow Creek Road, Hartwell.

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Massey will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Soles and Rev. Jim Olds officiating.Burial will be in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Hartwell.
