Obituary
Mr. Larry E. Senkbeil, 81, of 102 Pecan Drive, Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Hart County Hospital.
Born May 11, 1927 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Ferdinand Senkbeil and Flora Lee Osborne Senkbeil.He was a machine operator for 34 years at Newton Mills.He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, Clenard Dyar Memorial Sunday School Class, VFW, and was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, and served in the European Theater.
He is survived by:Wife, Ruth Embler Skelton Senkbeil of the home; Son, Van Senkbeil and his wife Karen of Hartwell, GA; Brother, Oscar Senkbeil of Greer, SC; and Four grandchildren, Jeremy and Karen Senkbeil, Luke Senkbeil, Caleb Senkbeil and Zac Senkbeil.His is preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers, Lloyd, Lev, Joe, Julian, Jimmie, Bennie and Edgar Senkbeil; Sisters, Mary Sadler, Lelia Milliken and Lila Andrews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 4:00 p.m at the Sardis Baptist Church.Rev. John Silver and Rev. Carter Tucker will officiate.Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Sardis Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1219, Hartwell, GA30643.
