Mrs. Laura J. Hilley Agnew, age 69 of 75 Marsh Lane, Hartwell, GA, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at her home following a prolonged illness.
Born March 8, 1939 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie J. Hilley and Mary Barnett Hilley.She was a retired LPN from Cobb Memorial Hospital and Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Husband, Gerald Agnew of the home; Sons, Paul Agnew of Hartwell, GA and Steven Agnew and his wife, Marilyn of Hartwell, GA; Daughter, Melita Agnew of Hartwell, GA and two grandchildren, Will and Maggie Agnew also survive.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church.Rev. Jerry Durham will officiate.Burial will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 16-A Brozzini Court, Greenville, SC29615.
