Mrs. Laura Noble Moore, age 89, of Lavonia, died Monday, January 2, 2012 at Hart County Hospital.
Born February 14, 1922, in Hawkinsville, GA, she was the daughter of the late George A. & Julia Fogg Noble. Mrs. Moore lived, with her husband Luther, in Stone Mountain from 1959 until moving to Lavonia in where they have lived since 1985. Prior to retirement she was a Juvenile Probation Officer with Dekalb County. Mrs. Moore was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. She was a dedicated gardener and loved sharing the bounty of all the fruits and vegetables she and her husband raised. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband: Luther L. Moore of the home; daughter: Gail M. Davidson of Atlanta; son: Gary. Moore of Jefferson; grandchildren: Chris Moore of Savannah, Michael Moore of Lagrange, Laurie Davidson of Atlanta, and Matthew Davidson of South Bend IN; sister: Frances Presnell of Riverdale.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
