Mr. Lawrence Palmer "Larry" Tarr, age 76, of 695 Lightwood Lane, Hartwell, GA, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, GA
Born April 21, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence Palmer Tarr, Sr and Mildred Opal Dougherty Tarr.He was retired from Whirlpool Corporation; Member of Sardis Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.
He is survived by:wife, Betty Harper Tarr of the home; sons, Roy Tarr of Conyers, GA and Sam Tarr of Grayson, GA; daughter, Kathy Tarr of Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Linda Tarr of Pittsburgh, PA and four grandchildren, Chris Tarr, David Tarr, Erin Tarr and Harrison Tarr.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 20, 2010 at 11:00 am at Sardis Baptist Church.Rev. John Silver and Rev. Bill Hightower will officiate.Burial will be in the church cemetery
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The family is at the home.
