Obituary

Mrs. Lee Golightly Jacobsen, 71, of 252 Benson Street, Hartwell, died Thursday, July 18 at her home.

Born on December 7, 1941 in Anniston AL, she was the daughter of the late John Maxwell Golightly and Mary Ella Powell Golightly.She was retired from Ridgeway & Ridgeway Law Firm where she was a Bookkeeper & Office Manager and was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Valerie Davenport & her husband Don and Karen Jacobsen all of Hartwell; a son, Christian Jacobsen and his wife Terri of Roswell; six grandchildren, Kirby Cobb, Anna Davenport, Emily Jacobsen, Taylor Davenport, Hailey Jacobsen & Alex Jacobsen also survive.Mrs. Jacobsen was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Peter Sherwood Jacobsen and a sister, Diane Turner.

Memorial services will be held Monday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church with Father Lee Peyton officiating.A reception will follow the memorial service in the church fellowship hall and the family will receive friends after the reception at the home.
