Lee Kirksey Youngblood, age 71, of Lavonia, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born March 25, 1953, in Easley, SC, he was the son of the late Bill and Jackie Staterfield Youngblood. He was a 1971 graduate of Easley High School. Whether he was working as a self-employed welder, doing yard work, or helping a friend, Lee's work ethic was evident in all that he did. He loved to play poker and was a die-hard NASCAR fan. Lee especially enjoyed spending time with his family boating on Lake Hartwell. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife: Debbie Royston Youngblood; children: Jodie Blalock, Jason Youngblood, Dedee Poole, and Angel Simpson; stepdaughter: Donna Segars; grandchildren: Lucas Youngblood, Austin Danzis, Jayce Danzis, Payton Poole, Tori Simpson, Lori Youngblood, Landen Simpson, Camden Blalock, Kayleigh Youngblood, Levi Youngblood, Ashlyn Poole, David Segars, and Jayden Hayes; siblings: Joe Youngblood, Debbie Nabors, Jan Miller, and Becky Gregory; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Vickie Wright Youngblood; and sister, Vickie Wilson.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the service.
