Mr. Leland M. Crump, age 78, of 4691 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell GA, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at his home.

Born on March 9, 1930 in Franklin Co. GA, he was the son of the late Howard E. Crump and Jewel Bailey Crump.He was retired from Newton Mills and Hartwell Sports.Mr. Crump was a former deacon at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, member of the Sardis Baptist Church, the Happy Harts and Shinning Light SS Class.He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife: Betty Bailey Crump of the home and their daughter: Ann Boles and her husband Ray of Hartwell.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. John Silver, Rev. Carter Tucker and Mr. Bill McSwain officiating.Entombment will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.The family is at the home.
