Leonard Lee King, age 75, of Lavonia, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at his home.
Born in Franklin County, on February 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Walter and Eunice Brady King. He was a 1964 graduate of Lavonia High School and was co-owner of King Brothers Auto Alignment and Wrecker Service. He was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Diane Lacy King.
He is survived by his daughters: Angie Hicks (Gene) and Stacey Lowe; brother: Cecil King (Beverly); grandchildren: Brandon King, Nicci Hicks (Michael Emmerich), Brittany Beard (Elliott), and Jeremy Hicks (Kinsley); uncles: Woodrow King (Louise) and Jimmy King; and aunts: Sara Bruce, Hazel Fleming, JoAnn King, and Becky Blackwell.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North with the Rev. Dr. Joe Renfro officiating. For those wishing to pay respects, Mr. King will lie in state at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Lavonia First united Methodist Church, P.
