Mrs. Leone Hembree Brock, age 87, of Lavonia, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice of Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born April 24, 1927, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late: T. C. and Bertha (Stovall) Hembree. She retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy after 17 years. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons & daughters-in-law: Winfred & Janet Brock, Wayne & Kathy Brock & Mike & Kathy Brock all of Lavonia; grandchildren: Tim, Jason, Melanie, Mandi & Nikki; and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Brock; brothers: Basil Hembree, Ellis Hembree, Henry Hembree, Woodrow Hembree & Melvin Hembree; sister: Emilee Hallford Stamey
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Durham and Rev, Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Keith Hembree, Tim Brock, Jason Brock, Chesley Hallford, Brandon Gibson & Chris Sutton.
