James Leslie "Les" Caudell, age 68, of Martin, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born September 15, 1953, in Stephens County, he was the son of the late Fred Caudell, Sr. and Louise Bennett Caudell. He owned and operated an auto shop that specialized in restoring cars and motorcycles. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Jo "Becky" Burdette Caudell; son: Rocky Caudell; grandson: Tylan Caudell; and brother: Anthony "Tony" Caudell.

He is survived by son: Shane Caudell; grandchildren: Chaniyah Caudell, Kelan Caudell, Dalton Caudell, and Colt Caudell; and brother: Freddie Caudell.

The graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Chuck Burnette officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Chuck Burnette, Cade Caudell, Levey Green, Carl Oliver, Brant Sanders, Jeff Stewart. Flowers are optional or memorial donations can be made to the North East Georgia Animal Shelter, 870 Bear Creek Road, Lavonia, GA 30553.
