Mr. L G "Buck" Dove, 79, of 60 Race Street, Hartwell died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Cobb Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 7, 1931 in Danielsville GA, he was the son of the late Charlie Dove and Mattie Coker Dove.He was a retired truck driver for Turner Concrete Co. and of the Holiness Faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Diane Dove of Hartwell; three sons, Tony Byron Dove of Powder Springs GA and Roger Dale Dove and Jackie Randolph Dove both of Hartwell; two brothers, Wayne Dove and "Shorty" Dove both of Royston; two sisters, Bessie Lord and Edna Hattaway both of Danielsville; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive.Mr. Dove was preceded in death by his wife, Hasteen Cobb Dove; a son, Billy Ray Dove and three brothers, Ervin Dove, J T Dove and Roy Dove.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Bennett, Rev. Jamie Dove and Rev. Bernard Young officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night.The family is at the home.
