Mrs. Lillian Alice Skelton Sanders, 94, of 183 West Franklin Place, Hartwell, died Wednesday, April 17 at her home.

Born on June 28, 1918 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Skelton and Minnie Scott Skelton.She was a homemaker and a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Royston.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Broome of Hartwell, four sons, Harold Sanders, Clayton Sanders, Herman Sanders and Leonard Sanders all of Hartwell; a brother, Wade Skelton of Fletcher NC; a sister, Alice Gowens of Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Clayton Sanders and a daughter, Ruby Nell Sanders.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Dan Bailey, Rev. Sean Baughman and Rev. Tommy Dutton officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday night.The family is at the home.
