Mrs. Lillie Faye (Duck) Massey, age 76, of Canon, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born February 17, 1942, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Tessie (Carroll) Duck. She previously worked as a textile worker. Mrs. Massey was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Roy Gene Massey; son: James Arthur Massey; and brothers: Henry Irvin Duck, Otis Duck, and Obie Blume.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and DeWayne Haley of Canon; grandchildren: Jonathon Massey of Demorest, and Courtney Haley & Alison Haley of Canon; and sisters: Inez McBride of Newnan and Linda Roberts and husband, Steve, of Royston.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. Burial will follow in Oak View Cemetery in Canon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
