Mrs. Linda Faye Burns Dorsey, 82, of Maxwell Mill Rd, Dewy Rose, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at her home.

Born on November 15, 1941 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Theron Burns and Frances Hill Burns Duckett. Mrs. Dorsey was a retired lunch room manager for the Hart County School System, and was member of the Liberty Congregational Church, and former member of the Bible Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include her three sons: David Dorsey of Bowman, Ricky Dorsey of Dewy Rose, and Aaron Dorsey of Dewy Rose; a daughter: Angel Lynn Dorsey of Dewy Rose; a sister: Elaine Davis of Anderson, SC; and eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Dorsey is preceded in death by her parents; husband: David Eugene Dorsey Sr.; one son: Christopher Dale Dorsey; and one grandchild: Peyton Dorsey.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 6, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Faye Dorsey will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Derrick Brown officiating.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
