Linda Phillips Godfrey, of Lavonia, passed away Friday October 18, 2024, in her home. Born January 30, 1949 she was the daughter of John Phillips and Mae "Dee" Baker Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Carlton Godfrey; her sister, Martha Welborn; her daughter, Angela Mouchet; and her son, Sean Mouchet.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Erica Emory; son in law, Timothy Alewine; sisters, Annie Sue Hyde and Betty Hulsey; brother, Woodrow (Sherry) Phillips; grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy) Prince, Chris Alewine, and Diana Beebe; step-children, Sherry Gailey, Kevin (Donna) Godfrey, Jeff (Kathy) Godfrey, and Melissa (Mary) Godfrey; step-grandchildren, Emily (Marcel) Payne, Marcus (Kristen) Godfrey, Jacob (Kayla) Godfrey, Clayton Godfrey, Abbygail (Micah) Hettrick, and Lexie Godfrey; great-grandchildren, Madalyn Leaver, Leiah Ivester, Kayli Ivester, Eliza Ivester, Jerry Prince, Holden Jones, Maeve Payne, Connor Godfey, Cooper Godfrey, Gracelynn Godfrey, and Neely Godfrey; special neighbor, Sue Humphrey; and many other relatives and close friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening, October 19, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home, 120 Bear Creek Rd. Lavonia, Georgia. In accordance with Linda's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lavonia Church of God children's ministry.
