Linda Brown Haygood

Linda Brown Haygood, born May 1, 1948, passed away on August 15th, 2026 in North Little Rock AR; leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, kindness, and treasured memories.

She was a beautiful woman, both inside and out, whose greatest joy was caring for her family and others. She was always willing to help anyone in need and had a selfless heart, continually putting others before herself. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of so many who had the privilege of knowing her.

She especially loved children and had a wonderful love for laughter and the simple joys of life. Her warm personality, beautiful smile, generous heart, and the love she so freely gave to others will be deeply missed.

Although our hearts are heavy with her passing, we are thankful for the years, the love, and the countless memories we were blessed to share with her. She was truly a special woman who made the lives of those around her better simply by being a part of them.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

She was a loving wife to the late Jerry Haygood and a devoted mother to her sons, Rodney and Elliot Haygood. She was also a cherished grandmother to her three grandchildren, Courtni Haygood, Jack Haygood, and Caroline Haygood and she cherished her great granddaughter, Remi Carpenter. She is also survived by her Only remaining sibling is her sister Bobbie Brown Tucker (Johnny) and a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Newt Brown and Selma Evans Brown. Her late sisters were, Virginia Brown Woodall, Viola Brown Lee, and Frances Brown Bryant and her late brothers were, Charles Brown, Elon Brown, Frank Brown, Monroe Brown, Hamp Brown, Floyd Brown, and JC Brown.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 21, 2026 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Linda Haygood will be Friday, August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Cleveland officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is assisting the family with all of the arrangements.
