Mrs. Linda Gail McGarity Marsh, 73, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center, Greenwood, SC.

Born on May 4, 1946 in Dewy Rose GA, she was the daughter of the late Harold Felton McGarity and Naomi Ruth Sanders McGarity. Mrs. Marsh was a former purchasing agent with Oxford Industries.She was a member the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, Joy Holland Sunday School Class, Tuesday Morning Glories Bible Study and Sojourners.

Linda was an avid golfer, former member of the Hartwell Golf Club, Cateechee Golf Club and former president of the Hartwell Ladies Golf Auxiliary. She was a member of the Pine Tree Garden Club, past Chaplain and served on the scholarship committee for the Azalea District of Garden Clubs of Georgia, former president of the United Garden Clubs of Hartwell and YaYa Red Hat Group. She was a former volunteer at several hospital ladies auxiliaries.

Survivors include her daughter: Lisa H. Fields of Abbeville SC; three grandchildren: Matthew Fields (Lauren), Laura Beth Fields, and Bryce Fields; four great grandchildren: Brayden Fields, Alexis Hudson, Tyler Hudson and Bentlee Hudson; one brother: David McGarity (Marie) of Royston; a sister: Phyllis Duchinski (Gerald) of Greenville SC and a sister-in-law: Joan McGarity of Elberton.Also her great granddogger: Malibu Fields.Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Billy Harris; second husband: William "Bill" Marsh and one brother: Van McGarity.

A memorial service celebrating Linda's life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dean Kring and Rev. Beau Swafford officiating.A reception will follow in the Church fellowship hall.
