Mrs. Mary Linda Dutton Norton, 72, of Lake Front Road, Canon, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at her home.

Born on May 22, 1947 in Royston GA, she was the daughter of the late John Dutton and Mary Lou Alewine Dutton.

Survivors include two daughters: Mary Braman (Paul) of Canon and Gail O'Barr of Hartwell; one son: Murphy Bryant (JoAnn) of Hartwell; a step-daughter: Misty Jones of Greer SC; a sister: Carlene Noonkester of Mt. Airy NC; three brothers: Thomas Dutton of Hartwell, Carey Dutton of Bowman and Howard Dutton of Mt. Airy NC; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Norton was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herbert W. Norton; former husband: Clarence Murphy Bryant Jr; a daughter: Margie Herring; a grandson: Chance Mills; a sister: Brenda Smith and three brothers: Wilburn Dutton, Effie Johnson Dutton and John William Dutton.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Norton will be held Monday, August 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Carnesville GA
