Mrs. Linda F. Risner, 67, of 238 Hatton Ford Road, Hartwell, lost her battle with cancer on Monday, November 19 at her home.
Born on September 12, 1945 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Harbin and Mildred Nicholson Harbin.Linda was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant for 20 years.She was a member of Price Chapel Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Shannon Hyde and her husband John of Hartwell; one brother, Bo Harbin and his wife Lynn of Anderson, SC; three sisters: Charlotte McBride and her husband John of Iva, SC, Elaine Gibby of Iva, SC, Tammy Frye and her husband Ken of Hartwell; one grandchild, her heart, Zackary Hyde also survives.Mrs. Risner was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles G. "Zip" Risner; a son, Tony Risner; and a brother, Johnny Harbin.
We will celebrate her life on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.The family is at the home of John and Shannon Hyde, 240 Hatton Ford Road, Hartwell, GA30643.
