Mrs. Linnie Elmer Hill Alewine, age 94 of Springdale Dr, Hartwell GA, died Tuesday, January 20 at Hart Care Center.
Born March 23, 1914 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Demps Hill and Lavonia Seymour Hill.She was retired from Hartwell Garment Company as a Seamstress and was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.
She is survived by:Sons, Ray G. Alewine of Rock Hill, SC and Wade M. Alewine of Hartwell, GA; Daughter, Linda J. Whitfield of Hartwell, GA; Eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren also survives.She is preceded in death by parents; husband, Clarence A. Alewine; Daughter, Barbara Jean Wyres and Mary Nell Alewine; brother, Berta Hill; sister, Izonia Whitzel.; grandchildren, Anthony Alewine and David Cleveland.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Eddie Simmons officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday morning from 10 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the graveside.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Hartwell Alliance Church, 490 Vickery Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
