Obituary
Lionel Rowland Michaud, 84, of Lavonia, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at his home.
Born on November 1, 1936 in Windsor CT, he was the son of the late Lionel Rowland Michaud Sr. and Yvonne (Cyr) Michaud.Mr. Michaud was retired from the DeKalb County Planning Department, where he was Director of GIS.He was also an active member of the Lavonia Chamber of Commerce, Tugaloo Bay Homeowners Association, Hart Co. Hikers and the First Baptist Church of Lavonia. Mr. Michaud was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife: Mary Michaud; son: Steve Michaud of Lavonia; a daughter: Kim Winkler (Brad) of Atlanta GA and a grandson: Oliver Winkler.He is also survived by two brothers: Ronnie Michaud and Norman Michaud both of Tampa FL.
A Celebration of Lionel's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Lavonia First Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Finger officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lavonia, PO Box 47, Lavonia GA 30553 or to the charity of one's choice.
