Mrs. Lois Herring Lewis, 93, of Easley, SC, formerly of 533 Hickory Crossing Road, Hartwell, GA, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Greer Memorial Hospital.

Born in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late William "Berry" and Lula Cash Herring.She was retired from Seawrights Jewelry and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by:Son, George Lewis and his wife Jo Ann of Easley, SC; Sister, Ruth Flint of Rayle, GA; Two grandchildren, Greg Lewis and his wife, April of Travelers Rest, SC and Tanya Ouzts and her husband Bill of Easley, SC; Four great grandchildren, Casey Bryant and her husband Chris, Carrie Lewis, Amanda Ouzts and Andrea Ouzts; Two great great grandchildren, Kerington Ouzts and Gregory Bryant. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, John Neese Lewis; Brothers, Parker Herring, Thomas Herring and Joe Herring; and a great grandson, Bradley Ouzts.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartwell, GA.Rev. Greg Phillips and Rev. Furman Brown Lewis will officiate.The family will receive friends after the graveside service in the church fellowship hall.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 3285 Elberton Hwy., Hartwell, GA30643.
