Obituary
Mr. Louie Raymond Hicks, age 70, 241 Wayne Circle, Hartwell, Ga., died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at his home.
Born March 12, 1940 in Hartwell, Ga., he was the son of the late Melvin Hicks and Louise Stone Hicks. He was retired from Wamsutta in Anderson, S.C. He was of the church of God Faith and a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran.
He is survived by: wife, Mary Wright Hicks of the home, sons, Mickey Hicks, Abbeville, AL., Ray Hicks, Carnesville, Ga., and Tim Hicks, Dallas, Ga., brother, Shelton Hicks, Anderson, S.C., and sister, Montine Mitchell, Martin, Ga. Eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survives. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Hicks, a daughter, Mary Darlene Hicks, brothers, Richard and Larry Hicks and sister, Myrtie Ruth Bailey.
Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. from the Mt. Olivet Church of God. Rev. J.B. Kitts and Rev. Leon Suttles will officiate. Interment will follow in Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening. The family will be at the home on Wayne Circle.
