Mrs. Louisa LeCroy Busby, age 96 of Lavonia, died Saturday, June 14 at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born April 11, 1912, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late William Snow LeCroy and Emma Shiflet LeCroy. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband: Johnny B. Busby; sons: Winfred, James, & Bernice Busby; daughter: Christine Bagwell; brothers: Lee, Tom, & Edward LeCroy; sisters: Idell Busby, Frances Slaton, Ruby LeCroy, & Cecil Saylors; granddaughter: Peggy McGaha; and great-grandson: Jeremy Kidd.
She is survived by son: Joe Busby of Lavonia; daughters: Ann Carey of Carnesville, Reba Ayers of Seneca, SC, Rachel Batey of Dahlonega, Rose Beck of Royston, & Linda Merck of Seneca, SC; brothers: Jesse LeCroy of Williamston, SC, Curtis LeCroy of Townville, SC, & Jimmy LeCroy of Hodges, SC; sisters: Willie Mae Graham of Seneca, SC, Joann Skelton of Starr, SC, Shirley Holcomb of Anderson, SC, & Ruth Page of Belton, SC; twenty one-grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; and thirty-one great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North with Dr. Larry Finger officiating. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
