Mrs. Louise Kesler Decker, age 87, of Lavonia, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the home of her daughter.
Born January 3, 1927, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Ferdie (Vaughn) Kesler. She was a graduate of Lavonia High School and Athens Business School. Mrs. Decker was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she served as church clerk for many years. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children: Laran Decker, Tim Decker and Marvine, David Decker and Mary, Anita Bell and Mark, and Steve Decker and Audrey; brother: Phil Kesler; and fourteen grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Crof Decker; and sister: Edith Walton.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at Fairview Baptist Church on Highway 59 with Rev. Bruce Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at their respective homes.
