Mrs. Louise Cobb Johnson, 87, of Hartwell, died Tuesday, March 30 at Dogwood Forest of Buckhead.

Born on June 14, 1922 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Earl Cobb and Ruth Alford Cobb.She was a graduate of GSCW in Milledgeville GA and she was the owner of Bailes-Cobb Company of Hartwell.Mrs. Johnson was active in the DAR and Hart County Chamber of Commerce.She was a former board member of the Northview Cemetery Association, Hart County Library, Hartwell/Hart County Clean & Beautiful and the Hart County ARC.She was a member of the Hartwell First Baptist Church, Evangelon SS Class and served on various Church Committees.

She is survived by her son: H. Earl Johnson and his wife Mary Lynn of Hartwell; two daughters: Sally J. Carpenter & her husband John of Atlanta and Martha J. Richie & her husband John of Marietta; a sister: Sara C. Burch of Royston; nine grandchildren: Keith Johnson, Edith Ann & Kip Parham, Cobb Johnson, Sara Louise Carpenter, Rebecca & John Price, Mary Carpenter, Katie & Seung Hwan Kang, Thomas & Melissa Richie and Claire Richie; two great-grandchildren: Kaden Johnson and Vale Richie also survive.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Henry F. Johnson and a sister Ruth C. Tucker.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 3 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Williams, Dr. Hugh Kirby and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.A reception will follow the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.A private burial will be held at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
